Caleb suggests that a French Easel works best for small to medium sized paintings and wooden palettes are best for oils. He prefers panels up to 16” x 20”.

As a painting medium for oils, Caleb uses stand or linseed oil painting medium (med) and paint thinner.
Mr. Stone’s palette for oils consists of:
 - White (Permalba, 150ml tube)
 - Windsor Newton colors of Cad Lemon
 - Cad Yellow
 - Yellow Ocher
 - Cad Orange
 - Cad Red
 - Alizarin Crimson or Rose Madder Genuine
 - French Ultramarine Blue
 - Cobalt Blue
 - Winsor Blue (Green Shade) or Thalo

For watercolors, Mr. Stone uses a pike palette or Holbine Palette. For watercolor paper, Caleb prefers 140 lb. cold press D’Arches.
His palette for watercolors include:
